A former police officer; a current business tycoon and product developer; and a vocal supporter of various charitable organizations. You might think you’ve got Henri Degre pegged as some kind of stodgy, conservative do-gooder. Think again. There’s a completely different side to Henri Degre, a side that shows just what a fully-balanced, well-rounded person he truly is. That’s his recreational side, as it were—his sporting side.

Just consider these quick facts about Henri Degre to find out what we mean:

Before he was a police officer, he dabbled in a bit of stock care auto racing! This fact does much to illuminate his current fascination with different kinds of vehicles and mobile facilities!

Henri Degre is an avid hockey fan, and, in fact, he currently plays inline hockey at the Hot Shots Arena in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania.

He is also an avid salmon fisherman, and favors spending a lazy morning out on the lake in Pulaski, New York.

In other words, Henri Degre isn’t just about his business, or about serving the community—though, to be sure, those things are important to him. But no, his interests are far more wide-ranging than that—and why shouldn’t they be? Henri Degre is not trying to play the hero, or to come across as some kind of ruthless business tycoon. No, he is simply interested in committing 100% of himself to everything he does—whether it’s in the boardroom or the hockey arena.

And ultimately, that’s what makes Henri Degre well worth knowing about. He is a guy—an Average Joe, of sorts—just like you or me. He just happens to bring a demand for quality, and a high set of standards, to everything he does. And on that note, he is an example to all of us of how you can succeed in business, make a difference in the community—and still find time to do a little salmon fishing on the side!

To say that Henri Degre has a sense of community responsibility—the spirit of a true civil servant—is, perhaps, a bit of an understatement. This is, after all, a man who formerly worked as a police officer, and who now designs products and services that are used by organizations like the U.S. Navy and the Department of Homeland Security. It would come as no big surprise, then, to find that Henri Degre is a man who believes, adamantly, in the importance of giving back—that is, of sharing some of his own success with the members of his community who need it most.

Henri Degre is involved with several such charitable endeavors, in many cases leading his Mobile Concepts colleagues in charitable giving. For example, he is a big proponent of offering financial sponsorship to needy children in Africa. He also makes donations to his own home county—money that goes toward providing services for those in need. And, perhaps most notably, Henri Degre is a proud sponsor of St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

It’s hard to think of a more worthy cause to support. For those who don’t know much about St. Jude, here are some pertinent facts and figures:

St. Jude is internationally known for the services it administers to children.

St. Jude conducts research, with the goal of finding a cure for common children’s diseases including cancer.

St. Jude also offers treatment for kids in need, kids who face either cancer or some other catastrophic illness.

There are plenty of ways that you and your company can get involved with St. Jude Children’s Hospital; for more information, you need only visit the website. Or, you could simply ask Henri Degre. His support of this fine institution is unwavering, which is yet another reason to regard him as a sterling example of selfless, community spirit.

Henri Degre has been many things in his life; he has been everything from an auto racer to a police officer, in fact. These days, he makes a living as the GM of Product Development for a company called Mobile Concepts by SCOTTY—and in this role, he has a chance to put all of his ingenuity, his innovation, and his knack for creative yet practical problem-solving on display for the whole world to see.

Consider, if you will, the different kinds of product that Henri Degre helps develop for the Mobile Concepts crew:

Products for government buyers and contractors. In particular, Henri Degre and his colleagues develop products such as recruitment vehicles; transit connects; sleep, toiler, shower, and supply trailers; ocean shipping containers; mobile crime labs; FEMA trailers, and more.

Products for fire and emergency services. These products include everything from HAZMAT trailers to vehicles employed by the Homeland Security department!

Law Enforcement products. It should come as no big surprise that Henri Degre—a former police officer—would be involved with the company’s law enforcement division! Some of these products include vehicles and supplies for the U.S. Army and Navy, the Border Patrol, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Association—plus, police trailers, SWAT vehicles, and more!

Products and supplies for corporate projects. Some of these might include equipment used in mining projects, software development, movie production, and oil exploration—clearly, a wide and varied list of clients!

Products used by medical, veterinary, and animal rescue services.

To all of these different departments, Henri Degre brings a sense of purpose and adaptability—as though the team of Mobile Concepts can devise a solution for any problem, a product to meet any need. That’s what has made them, for more than five decades, the best in the business—and it’s what makes Henri Degre so very good at what he does!

Have you ever stopped to think about the trailers and trucks used by government organizations such as FEMA and the HAZMAT Team? What about the vehicles used by SWAT Teams, and by campus security? And the different trailers implemented by corporations and construction teams? What all of these vehicles have in common is that, while we tend to assume they just sprung up out of nowhere, they have to have been made by someone—and in many cases, that someone is Mobile Concepts by SCOTTY, the company that’s partially owned by Henri Degre.

Mobile Concepts has actually been around for five decades, and in that time it has established a reputation for excellence and high standards of quality and reliability; it’s not difficult to see why a man like Henri Degre, with his own beliefs in the importance of high standards as well as his experience in law enforcement, would want to work for a company like this. Actually, though, he doesn’t just work for it. In addition to being a partial owner of the company, Henri Degre also oversees Product Development—an important position, as you can well imagine!

In this capacity, Henri Degre helps design vehicles for customers that include:

Government buyers and contractors

Fire and emergency services

Law enforcement

Corporate buyers

Medical and veterinary services

Of course, the company is about more than just designing these products; in addition, it offers a full range of maintenance services, parts, and more. But Henri Degre is one of the idea men—one of the folks in charge of developing these fine products and ensuring that they meet the high standards of quality you’d hope to find in any medical, emergency, or law enforcement vehicle! In short, Henri Degre is one of the guys who makes this important business tick, which is reason enough to celebrate him as an unsung civil servant!
